With Les Boréades, Jean‑Philippe Rameau composed his final - and perhaps most daring - tragédie lyrique. The work sparkles with rhythmic vitality, brilliant orchestral colours and a dramatic flair that only the French Baroque can deliver. In this concert version, a universe unfolds where love, freedom and fate intersect, carried by Rameau’s inexhaustible imagination. The music is majestic and light, virtuosic and deeply moving - a true feast for both ear and mind.
Les Boréades remains one of the great jewels of Baroque opera, a work that continues to astonish with its modernity and expressive power.
